The Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) is undergoing a massive expansion with the construction of a brand new 2 level terminal, which is set to be completed by the end of 2024. This new terminal will increase the airport's capacity by 60% and feature state-of-the-art facilities aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and operational efficiency.

The new LEED certified terminal will span over 68,000 square meters, a 150% increase in space, and will include 19 boarding bridges and 16 remote boarding gates, compared to the current 11 and 9, respectively. This expansion is designed to handle up to 4.5 million passengers annually. Additionally, the terminal will be the first in Latin America to achieve Zero Energy certification.
